Preserving reality and truth

Less than half a percent of the world's data records the physical environment: its spaces, its objects, and the way they move. The overwhelming majority of what machines learn from is text and imagery collected from the internet. The physical world, where robots and autonomous systems must ultimately operate, remains almost entirely absent from the data used to train them.

Volumes was founded to close that gap. We capture the physical world at a fidelity and scale that has not previously been possible, and convert it into verified, standardized datasets.
